I save the runners and change the old ones, which get that 'woody'look, every third year. that way, the new crops are insured.

Thanks for your positive and generous comments :)A wildlife gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08261817184002496844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1728177323071931165.post-45905848562895291892007-07-30T00:23:00.000-07:002007-07-30T00:23:00.000-07:00I love this idea of recording our blooms, I keep a...I love this idea of recording our blooms, I keep a monthly journal too :-) So many strawberries!! We did enjoy them and I thought of my dear friend who gave us the 'runners' 16 years ago, for she passed away a few weeks ago, but that invisible link is still running between us.

Gardeners are such generous people I think. I love to receive presents of seeds or cuttings from friends, for these plants become more precious then, and forever associated with the friend who gave them, and like the friendship, they keep on growing and spreading to other friends as well...and I love to pot up cuttings, and to share my seeds with others too, for, in that way, they, too, have something of me in their garden.A wildlife gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08261817184002496844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1728177323071931165.post-70345571834504545762007-07-29T10:16:00.000-07:002007-07-29T10:16:00.000-07:00Beautiful blooms and what a bumper crop of strawbe...Beautiful blooms and what a bumper crop of strawberries.RUTHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11389012059140660415noreply@blogger.com
