- In 1990, as we were driving through a little village, I noticed a quaint old barn with a corrugated roof, and a newly-built house adjacent to it. They were standing on a large plot of land, full of pernicious weeds - a corner of a farmer's field, in fact. Then we saw the "For Sale" sign. Four months later we moved in and decided to create a garden for wildlife. contact me

So I am quite jealous of your beautiful garden. We moved from a lovely big lush landscape to the middle of the desert and just a postage stamp size yard and though I don't miss the work, I do miss the results.

Those pansies and violas are so gorgeous. There's a little viola plant that appears in my garden every spring, I didn't plant it, it just arrived all by itself. Clever little thing.
