- In 1990, as we were driving through a little village, I noticed a quaint old barn with a corrugated roof, and a newly-built house adjacent to it. They were standing on a large plot of land, full of pernicious weeds - a corner of a farmer's field, in fact. Then we saw the "For Sale" sign. Four months later we moved in and decided to create a garden for wildlife. contact me

Wonderful photographs. Even after rain and storms your flowers are looking great. We had really high winds yeaterday and sadly some of my Canna leaves have been ripped to shreds; otherwise all well though. Lovely photo of Taz too :o)
Hello, Ruth. Lovely to see you again. I like that nifty signature :) It's amazing how some of the sturdier flowers survive the winds and storms we've been having, whereas others are battered down and look so bedraggled when they might otherwise have stood tall and proud in sunnier days. Taz is a sweetie, isn't he? He always looks as if he's smiling :)

Welcome, sandy. I do love the blue of the irises too. I planted them for my husband because he loves them so much. Although he doesn't 'garden' as such because it's not his hobby, he encourages me in all my efforts and helps me with the heavy lifting. The garden wouldn't be the same without him. All the lupins and hollyhocks are planted for him too.

Your flowers survived the storms well from the look of it. I loved the picture of the white Delphinium with the contrasting dark centre. The Iris and the Geranium are stunning too!
