Even a small back yard garden can become a haven for wildlife, that is my experience. Of course I avoid using chemical fertilizers or pesticides. I do not feed the birds. A small water bath for the birds attract as many as 15 bird species in my garden. They feed on insects, butterfly larvae and have created their own food chain.

Hi WG, just beautiful photos as always. You have such pretty pictures on all 4 of your blogs now...it's hard to keep up.

Thank you so much for the compliments, dear Ruth. My main blog tells the story of the garden at Barleycorn, whereas the other three are photo blogs of... our garden; plants and gardens on my travels, and my paintings, which means anyone can look through them quickly.
