I don't know what makes me smile the most...the beautiful roses with all their fragrance and prettiness or those huggable, lovable kitty cats.
I had two cats, brother and sister for almost twenty years, and I loved to bury my nose in their warm fur, it always smelled wonderful to me.
Have a great weekend.

Welcome, smilnsigh. We have a few climbers growing against the house to shelter them from the bitterly cold winter winds, which burn the stems black. Other than those we grow rugosas which survive really well. I tried growing hybrid teas a few years ago, but they only lasted a few years...but, I'm nothing if not a cock-eyed optimist...so this year I planted six climgers in vaious parts of the garden to see if they can make a go of it!

You have as many kitty cats as I do. One for each kid!!!. I love the roses!!!!

Thank you, Thalia. These roses manage to survive the bitter winds of winter. The cats, on the other hand, are well equipped with their furry jackets :)

Welcome, dirty fingernails, to our little corner of paradise. thanks for your encouraging words.

You have a lovely selection of rose blooms. They are beautiful.

Of course, the cats are all adorable ... they are lucky to have Barleycorn!

Thank you very kindly, Kate. We are lucky to have all these cats around...certainly keep the mice at bay!

Beautiful roses. So how many cats do you have?! My husband calls our outdoor cats a collective "the millions". Kittens just keep turning up in our yard- possibly because we live in "the bushes" so, so people think its a good place to dump kittens-I am taking two to be spayed this weekend!

Hello, nicole. lovely to have you round for a visit. We have two cats of our own and three who choose to live in the barn, whom we also feed and pet, though their owner lives close-by...
