I instantly fell in love with your blog! I love your flowers, and hope to visit Scotland soon!!! I put a link on my blog to yours, hope you're happy about it...
Good morning, meeyauw, and welcome to our little corner of paradise. Although the garden is beginning to have a 'tousled' look about it by this time of year, there are little pockets of colour here and there from the late bloomers :) Thank you for your visit and for the lovely compliments.
Welcome, chicca2007. Thanks for introducing yourself. I'd be happy to exchange with you. I'm glad you like the flowers. I hope you have a lovely visit to Scotland.
Hello again, blackswamp_girl. So lovely to have you revisit the garden. I love penstemons too. I have tried having them in previous years, but they did not survive the winter. Hopefully, they might fare better this time.
Perhaps your e-mail addy is on your blog, but I'm never able to make them work, even if it is. :-)
Would you please email me at my... warrrmmm at yahoo dot com, and we can talk about the Gladys Taber books which I'd love to share with you. The ones about the skunk 'Blackberry' which she used to feed on Cape Cod.
Every photo is so lovely...I especially love the Penstemon and waterlily. After a week of rain finally had some sun yesterday and spent part of the day deadheading the soggy masses. The roses really took a battering. Still waiting for my late bloomers. :o)
Thank you, dear Ruth. I'm still waiting for my butterflies to come. After such a wet June and July we have hardly seen them this summer...same goes for my damsels and dragonflies.
In 1990, as we were driving through a little village, I noticed a quaint old barn with a corrugated roof, and a newly-built house adjacent to it. They were standing on a large plot of land, full of pernicious weeds - a corner of a farmer's field, in fact. Then we saw the "For Sale" sign. Four months later we moved in and decided to create a garden for wildlife.

How lovely. I have wildflowers. They attract so much wildlife. I have never seen many of your flowers here so it's a big treat to view your photos.

I especially love the Poppy photo, looks so delicate, like crape paper.
The variety of the poppies each year always amazes me, Ruth Welter. Thanks for stopping by :)
Such a beautiful assortment of flowers you have and you've captured that so well in your photographs.
The penstemons are so pretty!!
